Meet Diane Tomasunas!

What do you like most about working with NAI?
The people, everyone has welcomed me with open arms. It has been very refreshing.
What does a “day-in-the-life” look like for you?
So far, no days have been alike at all. I’m usually in the office early and just prioritize the immediate items first then work my way through daily, weekly, monthly tasks. I am in and out of the office visiting sites and try to be as flexible as possible, since emergencies do come up.
What’s your most memorable work experience?
Being a property manager during the COVID-19 Pandemic. I don’t think anyone will forget living through this crisis. It has been rewarding to be able to try to help small businesses and landlords work our way through this together.
What sets you apart from the competition?
I have an extra edge with my interior design background. I look at buildings and properties in a little different perspective with the 20 years of retail design in my history. I have worked on site plans, layouts and décor. This is especially helpful if a building has a construction project going on and the owner or tenant needs a little guidance. I apply this knowledge to my property management skills, and I feel it is a benefit to everyone.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Riding horses! I forget about everything but the horse. I just love being outside in the fresh air, even if it is snowing or raining. I simply love it.
Why property management?
My parents were both realtors, so real estate has always been in my life. I look at it like a big puzzle, I just need to help put all the pieces together for my owners and tenants. It can be challenging and rewarding all at the same time.
